Uttar Pradesh Scholarship Scheme (UP Scholarship) is an initiative of the state government to provide financial aid for students studying in Uttar Pradesh. The scheme incorporates all levels of education from pre-matric to post-matric, ensuring that no student is left without support towards their education. To facilitate the students- the UP government has started an online portal called the Scholarship And Fee Reimbursement Online System or Saksham. UP Scholarship Login and Registration
Registration Process
Here are the steps to follow if you want to apply for a scholarship for the first time:
- Go to the official portal and click Registration under the Student Section.
- Complete the registration form with information like category, class, name, parents’ names, and birthdate, among others.
- Once you have submitted it, print a registration number and a receipt.
Login Process
- Visit scholarship.up.gov.in, which is the official website.
- If you are a new candidate, click Fresh Login.
- If you are renewing your application, select Renewal Login.
- Steps to log in Registration:
- Fresh candidates should choose their program type according to their education level (Pre-Matric, Post-Matric).
- Renewal candidates should select the appropriate program type.
- You must give your registration number, birth date, and captcha code.
- Click the submit button after filling in the necessary information.
UP Scholarship Application Process
Access Your Dashboard
- After a successful login, the dashboard will appear; it’s your homepage.
- Here, you will see the information you filled in during registration.
- Complete Application Form
- Look for Check Current Status on the dashboard.
- Check application status and other important information.
- Ensure that all the required fields in your application are complete.
- When finished with the form, print and verify it.
- Handover the printed form to the school.

Check UP Scholarship Status Online
- First, you need to visit the official website of UP Scholarship. You can find it at https://scholarship.up.gov.in/.
- Once on the home page, look for the section corresponding to your scholarship application status, Fresh or Renewal and Educational Level.
- Then, click the appropriate link for your category – Pre-Matric, Post-Matric, etc.
- You will then reach the scholarship portal. Choose Status.
- Now comes the log-in part. Simply, enter your registration number/application number and password.
- Once you have logged in, you will see your UP Scholarship Status. It will mention whether it’s approved or not and when you can expect funds to come through.

Application Correction Process

Post-Matric-Outside the State Application Process
Scholarships for those studying outside Uttar Pradesh but are residents of the state can apply for the UP scholarships. Here’s what you need to do:
- Go to the UP Scholarship portal.
- Choose your category according to your educational stage.
- Complete the registration and application process just like any in-state student.
