UP Scholarship: How to File a Complaint on the Jansunwai Portal

If you have any problems with your UP scholarship and want to submit a complaint on the Jansunwai portal, follow the steps outlined below:

When Should You File a Complaint?

Before you file a complaint, verify the status of your UP scholarship.

  • If it says “Pending with District Scholarship Board,” you may register a complaint.
  • Other concerns should be addressed in the respective instructions, as their solutions may differ.

How to File a Complaint

Visit the Jansunwai Portal

  1. Open the official Jansunwai portal at [https://jansunwai.up.nic.in/].
  2. On the homepage, you’ll see an option for “Register Complaint” (शिकायत पंजीकरण). Click on it.

Agree to the Terms

When you click on “Register Complaint,” a new box will open requesting your acceptance to the terms. Tick the checkbox to ensure that your complaint falls into one of the categories listed, then click “Submit.”

Provide Your Mobile Number and Email

  1. On the next page, you’ll see the “Online Registration Portal.”
  2. Enter your mobile number and email address.
  3. Complete the CAPTCHA and click “Send OTP.”
  4. Enter the OTP sent to your mobile to proceed.

Fill in Personal Details

You’ll now be prompted to fill in details about yourself:

  • Name
  • Father’s Name
  • Gender
  • Additional mobile number (optional)
  • Aadhaar number

Ensure all details are accurate.

Select the Complaint Category

  1. Choose “Scholarship Related Issue” from the department category.
  2. Fill in the specifics of your problem. Copy and paste the error message from UP Scholarship Status to clarify.

Provide Location Details

Fill in your area details:

  • Rural or Urban
  • District
  • Tehsil
  • Development Block
  • Gram Panchayat (if rural)
  • Police Station

Upload Supporting Documents

  1. Save your UP Scholarship status page (showing the error) as a PDF.
  2. Upload this PDF under the “Relevant Documents” section.

Submit Your Complaint

  1. Click on “Save Reference” to submit your complaint.
  2. You will receive a reference number. Use this number to track your complaint status.

Check Your Complaint Status

Visit the Jansunwai portal again and enter the reference number to see your application status.
